Feeling Like You Don’t Belong

Imagine sitting in a room full of people—talking, nodding, maybe even laughing. But inside, you feel hollow. Disconnected. Like you’re watching life from behind a glass wall.

It’s hard to name. It’s not just a feeling of not fitting in this room, or in this job, or even in this relationship. It’s a deeper kind of misplacement—like you don’t quite belong in this world at all.

Your mind drifts—not outward, but inward—trying to locate a sense of connection. But you can’t find it. Just more questions. Just more fog.

Sit with me.

The ungrounded feeling sensitive souls know too well

You are surrounded by people who are fully anchored in this world. They are practical, grounded, realistic. They are thriving for career milestones. Packed calendars, weekend plans, closing deals, buying luxury cars, investing in properties make them feel alive and gratified. It gives them a sense of purpose and belonging.

But others—more sensitive, intuitive, spiritually inclined—feel anchored in a different way. That’s us.

The pursuit of materialism doesn’t fulfill us. Acquiring status or wealth feels empty. We aren’t lazy or lost. We are simply attuned to something else—something deeper, harder to define.

We often feel on the edge of something intangible, just beyond reach. Our physical body moves through routines, but our mind wanders somewhere else, often asking:

“Is this really all there is?”

“Why does everything feel slightly… unreal?”

“Am I meant to be somewhere else, doing something different?”

“All of this… for what?”

Both paths are valid. There’s no right or wrong way to live. The only real issue arises when you’re wired for the second path but try to force yourself into the first.

That’s when the emptiness creeps in.

You burn out faster.

You feel hollow where others feel satisfied.

You are not alone

Now you know where you belong. And if you’re like me, you probably haven’t shared this feeling much with your friends or family—because how do you explain something you barely understand yourself?

You don’t want to sound dramatic. You don’t want to sound… weird.

But you’re not crazy. And you’re definitely not alone.

You just have a rich and intricate inner world that functions differently. You live with one foot in the physical world, and the other in the spiritual. A place where material possessions feel meaningless, but experiences, consciousness, and connection are everything.

“You sense things others miss.”

“You ask questions that don’t have simple answers.”

“You feel that life on Earth is temporary—and you quietly wonder what lies beyond.”

“You’re drawn to a world behind the world, but you can’t always explain why.”

Many walk this path

People on a journey of awakening, soul-searching, or healing often feel this exact tension. Especially those who have always been the “deep one” in their circle—the observer, the feeler, the quiet questioner.

Eventually, everyone gets a glimpse of this world—sometimes through crisis, sometimes through reflection, sometimes simply as they age. But some of us have always felt it, even from a young age. We just don’t become fully aware of it until a certain phase in our lives.

Living between two worlds is not always comfortable. Especially when we still have bills to pay, expectations to meet, careers to maintain, families to support, and long to-do lists that never end. At a young age, it can feel like trying to swim in a world built for walking.

I’ve felt this for as long as I can remember—since childhood.

For over 35 years, I couldn’t connect with the goals or motivations of those around me. While others chased promotions, cars, or titles, I often saw those pursuits as meaningless. I quit jobs and traveled—not to escape, but to feel alive again. To taste experiences that made my soul stir.

This may resonate some of you

Some people, when they feel this way, choose to live in solitude. Others stay in the material world while learning to balance it with the spiritual.

They become bridges—connecting the external world to the internal one. Helping others move from numbness to awareness, from surface to soul, from noise to meaning.

They choose to become a bridge between the life we’re expected to live…and the life our soul quietly yearns for.

I am taking that mission and I am asking you walk with me on this path if you feel the same. A journey to help people like us achieving the balance and live happier between two world.

A glimpse into the bridge

If you are like me, it could be our life purpose. Being able to feel this is not a curse but more like a gift.

“A gift with an ability to remind what others miss,”

“A gift with an ability to speak from clarity and show others the way”

“A gift with an ability to heal and help others”

“A gift with an ability to show others life is more than we think”

This is not an easy journey, but this might be the path that I must take.

Sometimes I feel unrooted.

Sometimes the real world feels too real—too loud, too fast, too disconnected for me.

Other times, it feels calm and peaceful when I seek the spiritual realm for refuge, even that feels far away.

It’s the tension of being in-between. But this in-betweenness? It’s a gift
